As with fire, so with revolution: It always starts with a spark. It's an idea so radical, so counter-cultural, and so world-shattering that it instills hope in the hearts of others, and that hope spreads like wildfire.

That spark —or in this case, SPARC— is love. But not just any love; it’s the love of an Almighty Creator God who was so unwilling that we be separated from Him for all eternity that He would (and did!) move heaven and earth to come down to re-establish the relationship with us that was broken as a result of the fall. But as is always the case, that relationship comes at a cost. In this case, the cost was His life. Jesus came to restore the relationship that was broken when sin entered the world, and to pave the way to the Father. And the path that he paved in his blood he invites us to walk —a path that’s fraught with trials and tears, but a path that offers hope, joy, and adventure beyond what anything in this world has to offer— in order that we might know the true meaning of freedom and abundant life.

Our hope and prayer here at St. Dunstan’s in SPARC (Students Pursuing A Relationship with Christ) youth ministry is to live such radical and revolutionary lives of Christ-centered love and Spirit-infused passion that we would start an outpouring — an epidemic of authentic God-worshipers that starts in our tiny little Sunday night meetings and spreads all across the US, and even the world!
